2025年10月16日至19日，香港科大「創科行」（第4站）＠HICOOL 2025全球創業家高峰會系列活動成功舉辦！HICOOL全球創業家高峰會被譽為「全球創新創業風向標」，本屆高峰會吸引100餘個國家和地區的頂尖創新力量齊聚。作為「創科行」活動的核心連結場景，本屆高峰會活動為香港科大搭建了「成果展示+思想碰撞」的雙重平台，成為本次創科行的重頭戲。

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong Investment Corporation Limited (HKIC), and Gobi Partners (Gobi) today announced the launch of a new strategic fund focused on early-stage start-ups incubated at the University. The Gobi-Redbird Innovation Fund (Gobi-RIF) aims to propel university-born technologies into global markets, bridging cutting-edge academic discoveries with industry-driven scalability to deliver transformative solutions worldwide.

中國銀行（香港）有限公司（「中銀香港」）與香港科技大學（「科大」）簽訂為期五年的戰略協議，雙方強強聯手，就推動金融科技、人工智能、普惠金融、研究及人才培訓開展合作，探索共同發展機遇，為內地及香港的持份者創造重要效益。在中銀香港副董事長兼總裁孫煜與科大校長葉玉如教授見證下，中銀香港副總裁王化斌與科大副校長（行政）譚嘉因教授簽署合作協議。合作備忘錄涵蓋多個重點合作領域，雙方將聯手激發香港於金融、銀行及金融科技的發展潛力。其中，科大將專注於創新研究，以響應本港在數字金融、金融科技及綠色金融等範疇的策略發展。中銀香港亦將透過獎學金、實習和管理培訓計劃，支持本地人才培育。此外，雙方將構建常態化協同機制，為在內地及香港，以至東南亞地區的科大社群與中銀香港客戶，打造量身訂造的跨境金融服務方案 。中銀香港副董事長兼總裁孫煜表示：「中銀香港根植香港逾百年，一直與社會各界攜手促進經濟社會高質量發展。是次與科大簽署的合作備忘錄標誌著學術界與金融界開展全方位合作，支持本港創科生態圈的蓬勃發展。透過科大領先的學術研發及人才培育專長，結合中銀香港於金融服務及創新應用等領域的前瞻優勢，讓銀校雙方更緊密地實踐產教融合，進一步推動香港作為國際金融與創科中心的領先地位。」科大校長葉玉如教授對雙方達成此次合作表示欣喜。她表示：「是次簽署的合作備忘錄不只是一份正式協議，更是對雙方歷經三十載可靠合作關係的有力證明。對於雙方即將聯手開展的項目，我深感振奮。從為大學社群提供全面金融服務，到推動金融科技、人工智能以及數字化領域的創新，這些舉措將為我們的成員乃至社會各界注入新動能。讓我們懷着滿腔熱忱與共同的使命感，共赴新征程。」

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Wuhan Union Hospital) have jointly established the "Collaborative Center for Medical and Engineering Innovation" (the Center), officially unveiled today at HKUST’s campus. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in medical-engineering collaboration between the two institutions, focusing on core areas such as ultrasound, pathology, and radiology. By deeply integrating artificial intelligence (AI) with medical imaging, the center aims to drive medical technology innovation and advance global healthcare progress.

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and AstraZeneca Hong Kong (AstraZeneca) today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build on their long-standing partnership, aiming to accelerate research and development (R&D) and drive innovation in the city’s life sciences ecosystem. The signing ceremony was held at the HKUST Unicorn Day 2025, an occasion where entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders come together for technological knowledge exchange and collaboration. Witnessed by President of HKUST and the Morningside Professor of Life Science, Prof. Nancy Ip and General Manager of AstraZeneca Hong Kong and Macau Ms. Shan Wu, the MoU was officially signed by Vice-President for Research and Development at HKUST, Prof. Tim Cheng and Head of Medical Affairs, BioPharmaceuticals & Rare Disease of AstraZeneca Hong Kong Mr. Tin Hung Wong.  

  In a world still grappling with the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, health disparities are widening and healthcare worker shortages persist, revealing vulnerabilities in our health systems. “Yet within all these challenges lie immense opportunities for collaboration and innovation,” noted Professor Nancy IP, President of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), at the 2025 Asia Summit on Global Health. As a keynote panelist, she asserted that universities can play a pivotal role in shaping a more equitable and sustainable health system. 

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (“HKUST”) has partnered with Esquel Enterprises Limited (“Esquel Group”) to launch a five-year study program that allows HKUST students to conduct biannual field research at the textile manufacturer’s 500,000-square-meter Sustainable Development Garden Integral, recognized as one of China’s top 20 sustainable development projects by the United Nations.  Guided by HKUST faculty, students will visit the garden twice a year in groups to assess and make recommendations regarding its sustainability impact on environmental monitoring and biodiversity conservation.  This initiative marks another academic-industry collaboration aimed at accelerating the Greater Bay Area’s transition to a low-carbon economy.

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tung Wah College (TWC) to enhance collaboration in cross-disciplinary medical education, innovative research, knowledge transfer, and community outreach services. A Synergy of StrengthsCombining HKUST’s strengths in scientific innovation and TWC’s expertise in nurturing high-caliber talent across healthcare disciplines, including nursing and allied health, this partnership focuses on five key areas:
