Design Award for Library Website!
The new Library website was rolled out in August 2016, with massive content migration completed in that summer. It replaced our 20 years old in-house developed library website system with a completely new look and design. The website was so well developed, it was granted the Best in Class Award in the 2017 Interactive Media Awards competition, indicating that the project had met and surpassed the standards of excellence, and the website had met strict guidelines in all areas ? an achievement that only a small fraction of sites in the competition could obtain.

Is there such thing as a blueprint for entrepreneur? OR Are there traits only found in those who dare to try?
Starting a business is a marathon with lots of hurdles on the path. Every entrepreneur shares a number of traits, from perseverance to the ability to manage risk, which are crucial to building a successful enterprise. Senior student Hercules Chan, who majors in Risk Management and Business Intelligence, seems to possess a level of maturity beyond his years. Starting from scratch with no means other than his own drive and curiosity, Hercules and his teammate developed a mobile hypnotherapy application named “VOID”, which won them the Best Student Invention Grand Award in HKICT Awards 2017, as well as crucial capital from the Yeung Wing Yee Entrepreneurs Fund by HKUST.

EVMT Students Won the Champion of the 2nd AIA Business Sustainability & Risk Management Case Analysis Competition 2017
Wendy CHENG and Maryellen WAT, Year 4 students of Environmental Management & Technology Program (EVMT), won the 2nd Business Sustainability & Risk Management Case Analysis Competition 2017 organized by The Association of International Accountants (AIA)-Hong Kong Branch. It's the second consecutive year that IPO students won the championship.

RMBI Student Won the "Best Student Invention Award" at Hong Kong ICT Award 2017
Chan Kai Ho, Hercules, a Risk Management and Business Intelligence (RMBI) Year 4 student, won the "Best Student Invention Award" at the Hong Kong Information and Communication Technology Award 2017 with a mental health app "VOID".
